Blue Herringbone Wool Shanghai Jacket

The Shanghai Jacket is a standout piece from the Shanghai Collection, drawing inspiration from classic Chinese Mandarin collar shirts. When creating this jacket, our goal was to preserve the traditional Chinese essence while integrating elements of French workwear. 

This design allows easy pairing with T-shirts, denim, shirts, and trousers, seamlessly blending into modern life. The relaxed and casual natural fabric and tailored silhouette complement each other to create a sense of relaxation and elegance. 

This particular piece harnesses the unique qualities of woollen fabric, trapping air to create a warm and soft feel with a fleece layer on the surface. The addition of a blue herringbone pattern introduces a delicate texture, reviving the traditional Chinese jacket with a modern twist.

The entire piece is handmade by traditional Shanghai tailors from our own workshop - Atelier 021, restoring the exquisite and classic style of the old Shanghainese.
